- All ages, from 6
- Beginner to advanced
- Cultural & modern styles
- Stage shows

Train with a crew that performs
ECA Dance Crew is led by our versatile and dynamic instructor Anand Shah, with expert-led training in dance, drama and more. Classes run for beginners, intermediates and advanced dancers, in various styles, and admission is open from 6 years of age.
Our dancers perform Nepali cultural dances such as Damphu Ma Selo, Chhadke Salam and Danfe Jhai Nachne, and modern crew choreography, from trending songs to our FIFA World Cup anthem routine and street choreography in the heart of Kathmandu.
Nepali dance itself is wonderfully varied: Maruni, Sakela, Tamang Selo, Deuda, Ghatu and many more, each carrying its community's traditions.

Dance your way to fitness
City life is busy, and it is easy to get so involved in professional or academic life that physical wellbeing is neglected. Our Zumba classes help you stay fit, and have fun doing it.
Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance workout created in the 1990s by Colombian dancer Beto Pérez, built on salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton rhythms, with plenty of Bollywood and local hits mixed in. A class mixes high- and low-intensity routines, so beginners can follow along at their own level.
- About 45–60 minutes: warm-up, 8–12 dance routines and a cool-down
- No dance experience needed: you follow the instructor
- A study by the American Council on Exercise measured about 369 calories in a 39-minute class (it varies by person)
- Two or three classes a week cover most of the WHO's recommended weekly activity for adults

Comfortable clothes you can move in and clean sneakers for modern styles; bare feet or socks for some cultural work, as your instructor advises. Bring a water bottle and a towel for Zumba.
How often
Two or three classes a week is a great start for both dance and Zumba. If you have heart or joint problems, are pregnant or recovering from injury, ask your doctor first.

Dance & Zumba questions
What age can my child start dance?
Admission to our dance classes is open from 6 years of age. Creative movement can start younger, and structured technique usually begins around 6.
I have never danced. Can I join?
Yes. Beginner batches start from counting music and basic steps, and Zumba lets you follow along at your own pace.
Is there a free trial?
Every student can take 2–3 demo classes before paying the monthly fee, and free trial sessions can be arranged based on discussion and your needs. Call us to talk it through.
Will Zumba help me lose weight?
Zumba is a great cardio workout and burns a lot of energy, but research shows its clearest benefit is fitness and stamina rather than guaranteed fat loss. Combine it with healthy habits.
Will I get to perform?
Yes. Our dancers perform at our Monthly Programme at the end of every Nepali month, at festival programmes and on the big stage at our anniversary shows.
Can I learn dance online?
You can learn choreography online, but corrections, partner work and formations work best in our hall.
